Extracurricular Classes
At Usui International School, we offer extracurricular classes that allow students to experience the rich natural beauty of Gunma Prefecture, one of its key attractions, as well as immerse themselves in Japanese culture.
Day Trip
In spring, we will organize day trips.
The spring day trip mainly focuses on famous cherry blossom viewing spots around the school.
Through this experience, students not only get to fully enjoy Japan's spring but also develop a deeper appreciation for the seasonal changes in Japan's nature throughout the year.
Japanese Cultural Experience
Now that you're in Japan, why not experience authentic Japanese culture?
At here, we invited external instructors to hold a cultural experience event featuring "Tea Ceremony & Yukata" for our students.
Under the guidance of a Urasenke tea ceremony master, the students wore yukata and experienced the entire process of the tea ceremony themselves, and they were extremely happy with the experience.
One student commented, "It was delicious, fun, beautiful, and I learned so much!" The students were thoroughly satisfied with the event.
Factory Tour
Once a year, we organize a factory tour.
The factory tour focuses on world heritage sites and famous products produced in Gunma Prefecture.
Through this activity, international students gain a deeper understanding of Gunma, as well as Japan's history and society.
Daruma Experience
Daruma is one of Japan's most representative good luck charms, and it is produced in large quantities in Gunma Prefecture.
Usui International School offers international students the experience of making Daruma dolls during the JLPT and EJU exam periods.
While learning about Japanese culture and Gunma's local traditions, students pray for success in their important exams.
A Variety of Parties!
At the parties, students take a break from their regular studies and refresh their minds.
Through these parties, they were able to engage in deeper communication with each other!
Traffic Safety Class
To ensure that students have a safe and secure study abroad experience, we invited officers from the Ota City Police Station to hold a traffic safety class.
Rules and manners vary by country, so it is especially important to acquire knowledge of safety, crime prevention, and common practices in Japan to avoid becoming involved in any criminal activities.
