Around the school

     The nearest station to Usui International Academy (Ota Station) is just 1 hour and 15 minutes by express train from Tokyo. On weekdays, you can focus on studying and part-time work in a peaceful environment, while on weekends, you can enjoy the city of Tokyo or relax in hot springs. The charm of the area lies in being able to experience both urban and rural lifestyles.

     In addition, the school is surrounded by many spots where you can enjoy nature, such as famous cherry blossom viewing spots and parks. If you take a short trip, you can also visit well-known hot springs. You can enjoy school life in a calm, nature-filled setting.

Cherry Blossoms of Yase River

     On both sides of the Yase River, which flows from Kanayama near the school, there is a row of cherry blossoms. In spring, the full bloom of the cherry trees reflects on the river's surface. While enjoying sakura mochi and other spring sweets, you can fully embrace the refreshing beauty of the season!

     Near the school, there is a Jodo-shu temple with a history of over 400 years. In spring, the cherry blossoms are in full bloom, creating a beautiful sight, while in autumn, the 'Kanto Chrysanthemum Exhibition' is held here, showcasing delicate and carefully cultivated chrysanthemums.

Kanayama Castle Ruins

     Kanayama Castle, located at an elevation of 239 meters, is a 'mountain castle' built on the summit of Kanayama, which has been used since the Sengoku period. It is considered one of the Seven Famous Castles of the Kanto region during the Warring States period. In 1934, it was designated a national historic site, and in 2006, it was selected as one of the '100 Famous Japanese Castles' by the Japan Castle Association. During your break, let's enjoy a hike to experience both nature and history!

Arai Town Shopping Street

     Near the school, in a town called Arai, there is a lively shopping street. It has a variety of stores, including clothing shops, bookstores, 100-yen shops, convenience stores, supermarkets, and many different types of restaurants. You can find anything you need for daily life, so there's no trouble living here.

     In addition to the Arai Town Shopping Street, there is a large shopping mall a short distance from the school. It’s the perfect place for shopping on weekends! Also, next to the mall, there is a hot spring, so you can relax and refresh after a long day!
